Lobe Piercings: These are the most common type of ear piercing and are located in the fleshy, bottom part of the ear—the earlobe. The lobe offers a softer and less dense area for piercing. Generally, lobe piercings are considered to be less painful because the earlobe is a softer, fleshier area.

A wide variety of jewelry can be worn in lobe piercings, including studs, hoops, and dangles. The versatility and ease of changing jewelry are greater due to the fleshier and more forgiving nature of the lobe.

Cartilage Piercings: These piercings are located in the harder, upper part of the ear, which is made of cartilage. Common cartilage piercings include the helix, tragus, industrial, and conch among others. Cartilage piercings are often reported to be more painful due to the denser nature of the cartilage tissue. there is still a good range of jewelry available for cartilage piercings, including studs, hoops, and barbells, the initial choice might be more limited to what promotes the best healing process. Your piercer will go over the options with you at your appointment. Changing jewelry in a cartilage piercing typically should wait until after the piercing has fully healed.

Nostril Piercings: These are specifically located on either side of the nose in the nostril area. The exact spot can vary based on personal preference and anatomy. The pain experienced during a nostril piercing can vary from person to person but is generally considered to be moderate. It's more painful than a lobe piercing but less so than many cartilage piercings of the ear. The most common types of jewelry used for nostril piercings are studs and is the type of jewelry recommended by our piercers.

Navel Piercings:  These are a popular body modification choice located at the top of the belly button. Your navel piercing placement will be considered while standing and measurements will be performed however the piercing is performed while lying down. Not all anatomy is suited for a navel piercing.. When opting for this type of piercing, it is  essential to choose high-quality titanium jewelry. Also important is using good cleaning practices including fragrance free soaps or body wash.. It is common for the piercing to feel tight and tender for a few days and most people report this piercing being fairly low on the pain scale. Typically, the healing time for a navel piercing ranges from 8 to 12 months, so patience and proper care are crucial to ensure smooth recovery and beautiful results.

Nipple Piercings: This is a type of body modification where a needle is inserted through the nipple, typically horizontally, though vertical or diagonal placements are also possible depending on preference and anatomy. Most people report moderate pain during the procedure—sharp and intense for a moment, but brief. The area can remain tender, sore, or sensitive for a few days to weeks afterward. Complete healing averages 9-12 months. A straight barbell is the most common choice for the initial piercing, as it allows for swelling and supports proper healing are usually not recommended for fresh piercings, as they can rotate and delay healing. Not everyone is anatomically suited for a nipple piercing. Flat, inverted, or very small nipples may pose challenges for proper placement or healing.
